Each year, KLB teams up with the City of Lewisville Parks and Leisure Services (PALS) to promote our Christmas tree recycling program.
Did you know that r ecycling Christmas trees helps to reduce waste, extend landfill life, provides useful compost, and saves you money?!

Starting December 15th, 2011 and running through January 18, 2012 you can drop off your Christmas trees at Lake Park and N. Mill Street (near soccer fields) to be recycled into mulch. Please remember to remove all nails, wire, ornaments, lights, and tinsel prior to dropping off your tree. Between December 30th, 2011 and Jan 18th, 2012 bring a bag or bucket to the drop off site along with a shovel and pick up some FREE mulch for your yard, garden and flower beds, walkways, around your trees and shrubs, or use it as livestock bedding! Recycling your Christmas tree is as simple as that!
This event is sponsored by Keep Lewisville Beautiful (KLB) and the City of Lewisville's Parks and Leisure Services (PALS). For more information about this event, please call KLB at 972-538-5949 or PALS at 972-219-3550.
